Following the referendum vote in June 2016, the UK government has set goals for the triggering of Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty, to start a process through which Britain can leave the European Union. Although the details and effects of this decision are still relatively unclear, the repercussions of the decision are already being felt in several sectors in the UK.

About the presenter:
Dr Sarah Lieberman is a Senior Lecturer in politics and international relations at Canterbury Christ Church University where she lectures all levels of students and carries out research.
Dr Lieberman’s research is focussed around European legislation and regulation, particularly in the field of science, technology and outer space exploration. Recently this research has also focussed on Brexit and the impact that the UK’s exit from the European Union will have in various sectors.
